DUI or driving under the influence of alcohol is a criminal offence in majority of the countries across the world. However, the dui laws appear to be changing constantly. The laws regarding dui are in a dynamic state most of the time as there are usually debates on how to charge the case of drunk driving, how to collect the evidence for it and how to penalize the convicts.
For instance, in the beginning of the year 2009, the states of New Mexico and Utah published two new dui laws, there were new dui laws in South Carolina and Illinois and there are eight states which are still debating to bring about changes in their state dui laws. Thus it is quite clear that the dui laws are changing in a number of states.
Most of the dui laws focus on catching the culprits if they are driving in an erratic manner and speeding through the lanes roughly, if they fail to stop at a signal, illegal turns, stopping in the way without any reason, or any other illegal activity. The changing dui laws are in the course of making certain things like warrants for getting the blood sample quite simpler for the police officials.
